Black Uhuru is a Jamaican reggae group formed 1972 in Kingston. The group lineup on their best work was Derrick Simpson, Michael Rose and Sandra "Puma" Jones. Don Carlos has also been a long term member. The band has had crossover success in the Dance music scene and their songs have appeared on numerous TV soundtracks. Outstanding albums include Black Uhuru (Showcase), Sinsemilla, Red and The Dub Factor.
