Del Shannon | The Further Adventures of Charles Westover | Album

Released in March 1968 by Liberty Records, The Further Adventures of Charles Westover represents a fascinating, wildly creative, and deeply overlooked pivot in the career of Del Shannon. Best known for early 1960s pop-rock triumphs like "Runaway," Shannon found his traditional style sidelined by the British Invasion. Using his birth name for the title, he leaned directly into the late-60s counter-culture movement, engineering what remains one of the era’s finest, most cohesive Baroque Pop and Psychedelic Pop hidden treasures.
