Beramiada (1975) is the debut solo work by Hungarian-born, naturalised Australian bass virtuoso Jackie Orszaczky. It stands as a pinnacle of 1970s Australian jazz-rock and progressive fusion. Recorded after the dissolution of his legendary prog-rock outfit Syrius, Orszaczky assembled an elite studio band featuring guitarist John Robinson (Blackfeather), keyboardist Peter Jones, and powerhouse drummer Graham Morgan. The resulting album is a psychedelic, and deeply funky voyage that masterfully balances tight groove structures with expansive improvisation.
