Released in June 1981, Cut Lunch by Melbourne new wave pioneers Models remains a fascinating, jagged snapshot of a band on the cutting edge of the Australian post-punk movement. Recorded as a set of demos with legendary engineer Tony Cohen before the group departed for England to record their second full-length album, Local and/or General, this six-track, 10-inch mini-album captures the band at their most experimental, uncompromising, and rhythmically inventive.
