Where the Action Is! Los Angeles Nuggets 1965-1968 is an exceptional four-disc, 100+ track box set released by Rhino Records in 2009. Curated by Andrew Sandoval, this compilation serves as a sprawling, alternative musical history of the Southern California music scene. It captures everything from the Sunset Strip curfew riots to the emergence of folk-rock, garage psych, and early country-rock.
