Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs | Aztecs Live! at Sunbury | Album

Aztecs Live! at Sunbury (1972) by Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs is one of the most ferocious and definitive documents in the history of Australian rock & roll. Recorded in January 1972 at the inaugural Sunbury Pop Festival—often called "Australia's Woodstock"—the double LP captured a legendary, ears-bleeding performance that helped define the raw, high-volume identity of Australian pub rock. Peaking at #4 on the Australian charts, the album cemented Thorpe's transformation from a '60s pop star into a wild, blues-rock shaman.
