Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs | The Hoax is Over | Album

Released in January 1971 on Festival Records' progressive imprint Infinity, The Hoax Is Over by Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs is one of the most historic left-turns in Australian rock history. Marking the band's definitive graduation from mid-60s matching-suit pop icons to the loudest, hairiest, and most formidable heavy-blues juggernauts in the country, the album captures a raw, overdriven studio jam session that became the blueprint for the legendary Aussie pub rock sound.
