The Who "Live at Leeds"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Polydor, Europe, 2017, 602557748307, Remastered, 180g Vinyl, Gatefold Sleeve

The Who's Live at Leeds (1970) is widely considered by music critics to be the greatest live rock album ever made. Captured on 14 February 1970 at the University of Leeds Refectory, the record captures the peak physical power, raw velocity, and chaotic synergy of the band's definitive line-up: Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon. While their studio projects like Tommy smoothed over their rough edges, Live at Leeds serves as a historical document of a legendary singles band mutating into the godfathers of heavy rock.

The first UK pressing of The Who Live at Leeds from 1970 was a limited edition of only 300 copies with the black stamp on a plain gatefold cover designed to look like a bootleg. The inside pockets contained a greaseproof-bag with a set of 11 printed inserts and a fold-out poster.
