Diesel And Dust is the sixth studio album by Australian rock band Midnight Oil, released in August 1987. It is a critically acclaimed concept album about the struggles of Indigenous Australians and environmental causes, issues deeply important to the band. Named the best album of 1988 by Rolling Stone editors (in the US release year) and ranked No. 1 in the book 100 Best Australian Albums in 2010. In 2021, Rolling Stone Australia listed it as No. 5 in their "200 Greatest Albums of All Time".
