Pink Floyd's Meddle (1971) is widely celebrated as the pivotal transitional masterpiece that rescued the band from post-Syd Barrett aimlessness and laid the sonic blueprint for their legendary run in the 1970s. Recorded between touring commitments without any pre-written material, it captures a rare moment of democratic, unified group collaboration. It stands as the essential bridge leading directly to the measured brilliance of The Dark Side of the Moon.
