Bonnie 'Prince' Billy "Ease Down the Road"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Domino, UK, 2001, WIGLP89, 5034202008910, First Issue

Ease Down the Road (2001), released on Palace Records / Domino Records, marks a fascinating transitional point for Will Oldham under his then-fresh Bonnie "Prince" Billy moniker. Arriving two years after the devastating, abyssal masterpiece I See a Darkness, this record acts as the brighter, more communal "other side of the coin". Rather than dwelling alone in the dark, Oldham rounded up a rich collective of family and Louisville contemporary musicians to construct a softer, organic slowcore Americana landscape.
