Koes Plus’s second album, Volume 2 (released on December 27, 1970, under the Mesra label), stands as an achievement in Indonesian pop and rock history. Serving as the official return of bassist Yok Koeswoyo-who replaced Totok AR-this record solidified the legendary "classic line-up" of Tonny, Yon, Yok, and Murry. Selling over 1.04 million copies, it proved that the band's initial garage-rock success with Dheg Dheg Plas was no fluke, showcasing an evolution in sonic ambition.
