Originally released on Bell Records, this debut album serves as a fascinating, raw time capsule of early pub rock. Fronted by singer, pianist, and guitarist Mickey Jupp (often dubbed the 'white Chuck Berry'), the band recorded the entire album, mixed and overdubbed, in a single nine-hour session funded entirely by themselves. The original lineup featured Jupp, Chris East, Steve Geere, and Nigel Dunbar. Uniquely, the group disbanded after playing just one single live gig.
UK band Legend's 1971 self titled album featured a cover art image by photographer Karl Stoecker who would later provide the iconic glamour photos adorning the Roxy Music albums, amongst others.
