Sowiesoso, released in 1976, is often considered the peak of Cluster’s transition from abrasive industrial noise to a more melodic, pastoral form of electronic music. Recorded in their self-built studio in Forst, West Germany, the album captures a relaxed, "timeless" atmosphere that many critics compare to Brian Eno’s Another Green World. Building on the "toybox melodies" of their previous album Zuckerzeit, Sowiesoso features soft electronic harmonies, serene rhythm guitars, and light electric pianos.
