Released in 1968 on the Limelight label, Cauldron by Fifty Foot Hose is a flawed but fascinating work of avant-garde psychedelic rock. Hailing from San Francisco's hyper-crowded late-60s music scene, the band largely avoided traditional hippie tropes. Instead, they stood out by clashing standard garage-blues instrumentation with jarring, homemade electronic noise.
