The Flaming Lips' The Soft Bulletin: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a live album that elevates their 1999 masterpiece into a breathtaking, technicolor reality. Recorded in May 2016 and released in November 2019 to mark the original album's 20th anniversary, this performance captures the band alongside the 68-piece Colorado Symphony and a 57-person choir, conducted by André de Ridder. It achieves what frontman Wayne Coyne always intended but lacked the budget for in 1999: replacing the original studio synthesizers with an absolute "wall of sound" created by 125 additional classical musicians.
