The Least We Can Do Is Wave to Each Other is the second studio album by the British progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator, originally released in February 1970. It was the group's first release in the UK and their only album to reach the UK Top 50 charts. Progressive rock, with elements of art rock, psychedelic rock, and jazz-rock. The original 1970 release consists of six tracks, primarily composed by Peter Hammill and recorded in just four days at Trident Studios in London.
