Magical Mystery Tour stands out as the ultimate, wonderfully chaotic peak of The Beatles’ psychedelic era. Released in late 1967 following the monumentally structured Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, it is the only American-compiled LP config to be officially adopted into the core Beatles canon. While born out of a notoriously messy, unscripted TV movie project, the album itself is a triumph of absolute sonic wizardry that features some of the greatest pop and rock masterpieces ever pressed to wax.
