Released on 17 April 1970, Cricklewood Green is widely considered the creative and commercial peak of British blues-rockers Ten Years After. Building on the momentum of their legendary Woodstock performance, the album finds the band refining their raw live energy into a more polished, albeit still heavy, studio experience. Produced by the band and engineered by Andy Johns (sometimes erroneously attributed to Glyn Johns), the album is celebrated for its "punchy" and "intense" production values. Unlike their earlier, more traditional blues records, Cricklewood Green incorporates extensive use of tape manipulation, panning, and electronic sound effects. While rooted in blues-rock, the album explores jazz, country-rock, and even acoustic folk. The Deluxe Edition contains a second LP live recording of Fillmore East - Friday 27th February 1970.
