Released in November 1973, Roxy Music's third studio album, Stranded, is another masterclass in the art-glam evolution. Faced with the departure of their sonic wildcard Brian Eno, frontman Bryan Ferry took full creative command. The result is arguably the most focused, emotionally rich, and meticulously arranged record of the band's career.

Roxy Music's third album Stranded featured another cover photograph by Karl Stoecker. The model in this case was Bryan Ferry's then girlfriend and 1973 Playmate of the Year, Marilyn Cole.
