Paul McCartney & Wings "Band on the Run"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Capitol Records, Europe, 2017, 0602557567496, 180g Vinyl, Remastered, Incl. Fold-out Poster, Digital Download

Released in December 1973, Paul McCartney & Wings’ Band on the Run is widely considered McCartney’s post-Beatles triumph of pop craftsmanship born out of extreme adversity. After guitarist Henry McCullough and drummer Denny Seiwell abruptly quit the band right before recording, McCartney, his wife Linda, and guitarist Denny Laine flew to a dilapidated studio in Lagos, Nigeria. Despite facing studio equipment failures, getting mugged at knifepoint, and having their demo tapes stolen, the stripped-down trio generated the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful album of Wings' career.
