Vylet Pony aka Zelda Trixie Lulamoon is an American multi-genre musician born 1998 in Daly City California. Of Filipina-Chinese/Scottish-Italian descent, they are an artist who primarily creates music taking inspiration from the children's television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The artist is nonbinary transfem and uses She/It/They/Sea/Pony/Fish(y) pronouns. She goes by the names Zelda, Trixie, Canni, Susie, Pacifica and Ditzy Do. She first began releasing music under the moniker Musicians of Ponyville, then released music under Pony! and then Vylet Pony in 2015. She wrote her first song in 2007. Her other hobbies include "building keyboards, playing video games, collecting books and vinyl records, eating very spicy fried chicken, studying stuff like quantum physics and geography and history." She also likes ponies and creatures, and enjoys other creative activities such as art, design, and writing stories. To-date she has released 20 albums, one live album, 11 EP's, 211 Singles, 14 Music Videos, and one Mixtape. A selection of standout albums includes Homeward (2019), Queen of Misfits (2019), Super Pony World: Fairytails (2020), and Monarch of Monsters (2024). Vylet Pony's music is well known in the MLP fandom. Pony has playlists on Spotify on Pony's artist profile, with their song releases separated by genre. Her songs typically follow themes of self-discovery and accepting oneself (such as in the case of ANTONYMPH, a song about defying cringe culture and being who you are), or often follow the lore of her characters. Her work is beginning to attract mainstream acclaim and positive reviews, such as the following from RYM: "I’ve been absorbing it (Monarch of Monsters) for weeks and I’m still finding little quirks and off-beat hooks buried in the mix. Fans of forward-thinking pop or progressive rock looking for something a little more challenging.. should hear this extraordinary record." And the following: "EDM artist, Vylet Pony unleashes a diverse Noise Rock affair, delving deep into harsh landscapes of gutting guitars and flittering electronics. Monarch of Monsters is an incredibly ambitious manifesto of regret and self-loathing, stuffed in a detailed narrative of betrayal, spiritual discovery, and destructive power dynamics. The ambition displayed is awe-inspiring, allowing gargantuan assemblies of Industrialism to align with grungy Rock riffs and sugary EDM accents." Vylet Pony's website is very succinct, it contains just the simple statement "I make music".
