Quadrophenia is the sixth studio album by the English rock band The Who, released as a double album on October 26, 1973. It is a critically acclaimed rock opera that tells the story of Jimmy, a young Mod in 1960s London and Brighton. Notable songs from the album include "The Real Me", "5:15", "I'm One", and the powerful finale "Love, Reign o'er Me". The album was a commercial success, reaching number two on both the UK and US album charts, and has since been ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time by publications like Rolling Stone and VH1. The album had a significant cultural impact, particularly by inspiring the 1979 film adaptation directed by Franc Roddam, which in turn fuelled the late 1970s Mod revival movement in the UK.
