Local &/or General is the second studio album by Australian new wave rock icons Models, released in October 1981 through Mushroom Records. Recorded in the United Kingdom with producer Stephen W. Tayler, the album captures the band at a fascinating creative crossroads-bridging the gap between the frantic, angular post-punk of their 1980 debut Alphabravocharliedeltaechofoxtrotgolf and the sleek, synth-driven pop that would later make them household names with hits like "I Hear Motion" and "Barbados".
