LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Science Friction, UK, 2017, SFLP005, 5065000022044, 180g Vinyl, Remastered, Gatefold Sleeve, Reissue

Roy Harper’s eighth studio album, HQ (1975), represents a monumental, electrified high-water mark in the legendary folk singer-songwriter’s career. Known in the United States as When an Old Cricketer Leaves the Crease, this record finds Harper veering away from his traditional acoustic orchestrations into a heavier, collaborative rock landscape. Backed by a temporary powerhouse band called Trigger—featuring guitarist Chris Spedding, bassist Dave Cochran, and iconic King Crimson/Yes drummer Bill Bruford—HQ seamlessly blends ferocious progressive rock with deeply moving pastoral folk.
