Subtitled "Forgotten Gems & Unknown Curios," the album unearths hidden, previously unreleased cassette demos and vault recordings from the regional Bristol music scene spanning 1978 to 1980. Rather than just a passive history lesson, it stands as an energetic, diverse, and surprisingly catchy alternative timeline of the UK's post-punk and new wave explosion.

Artist Website: discogs/Avon-Calling-The-Bristol-Compilation

Related Artists: Social Security, Europeans, Apartment, Private Dicks, The X-Certs, Essential Bop, Joe Public, 48 Hours, The Directors, Sneak Preview, Stereo Models, TVI's
