The original score for Count Yorga, Vampire (1970) was composed by Bill Marx, the adopted son of comedy legend Harpo Marx. While the soundtrack was never officially released as a standalone album (such as a vinyl or CD), it is known for its atmospheric use of a small chamber ensemble and "screeching" strings. Since a formal soundtrack record does not exist, there are two primary ways to hear Marx's work: Blu-ray Isolated Score and Radio/Podcasts like Off the Beaten Soundtrack where snippets of his horror scores are sometimes played and discussed. Bill Marx also returned to score the sequel, The Return of Count Yorga (1971), which featured a similar experimental jazz-influenced horror style.
