Blue Cheer "Outsideinside"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Sundazed, USA, 2010, 090771529817, 180g Vinyl, Gatefold Sleeve

Released in August 1968 on Philips Records—just seven months after their earth-shattering debut Vincebus Eruptum—Blue Cheer’s Outsideinside stands as a landmark masterclass in proto-metal, heavy psych, and unapologetic power-trio aggression. The record earned its title because its staggering volume literally forced the band out of traditional studios; parts of the album were recorded outside (including on a pier and at Muir Beach) to prevent the band's massive Marshall stacks from overloading the microphones and damaging the equipment.
