Cream’s 1968 double album, Wheels of Fire, is a monumental work that captures the band at their creative and technical peak, as well as their point of greatest internal tension. The first half of the set demonstrates a shift toward more complex, layered production compared to the raw blues of their debut. The iconic sleeve art for Wheels of Fire was created by Australian pop artist Martin Sharp. The artwork incorporates a silver foil laminate to enhance the psychedelic impression.
