Deep Purple "Machine Head"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Purple Records, Europe, 2018, 0600753635827, Remastered, 180g Vinyl, Fold-out Poster Insert, Incl. Digital Download

Released in March 1972, Deep Purple’s Machine Head is universally lauded as a classic of hard rock and a foundational pillar of heavy metal, alongside Led Zeppelin's IV and Black Sabbath's Paranoid. Recorded under chaotic conditions in a Swiss hotel using the Rolling Stones' mobile studio, it captured the legendary "Mark II" lineup-Ian Gillan (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards), Roger Glover (bass), and Ian Paice (drums)-at the absolute absolute peak of their creative and technical powers. It is an essential, flawless 10/10 record that perfectly balances high-speed proto-metal intensity with brilliant blues-rock grooves.
