Del Shannon | One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-One Seconds With Del Shannon | Album

One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-One Seconds with Del Shannon (released in April 1965 on Amy Records) is a punchy, bite-sized capsule of mid-1960s rock and roll. Spanning just under 30 minutes (27 minutes and 41 seconds, to be exact), the album captures an artist at a fascinating crossroads—navigating the rising tide of the British Invasion by blending his own driving, proto-punk energy with Wall of Sound-style pop production.
