Sail On is the tenth solo studio album by influential Scottish folk singer and guitarist Dick Gaughan, originally released in 1996. It was a significant milestone in Gaughan's career, marking his first release for the American label Appleseed Recordings. The album features 11 tracks, including three original compositions by Gaughan ("Son of Man," "No Cause for Alarm," and the title track "Sail On") alongside several notable covers. Produced by Dick Gaughan and recorded at Hart Street Studios in Edinburgh, the album features a full backing line-up.
