Released on July 1, 1993, Ultraelectromagneticpop! is the debut studio album by the Eraserheads, universally recognized as the catalyst that revitalized the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) rock scene and brought underground college alternative rock into the mainstream. Recorded while the band members were still students at the University of the Philippines Diliman, the album captures a raw, youthful energy that completely broke away from the glossy, hyper-poetic Pinoy rock and power ballads dominating the airwaves at the time.
