LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Capitol Records, World, 2014, W 581, 06020537761579, Remastered, 180g Vinyl, Mono, Reissue
Released in April 1955 by Capitol Records, In the Wee Small Hours is widely considered the first true "concept album" in popular music history. Arriving on the heels of his painful separation from Ava Gardner, Frank Sinatra channeled his personal devastation into a cohesive, 16-track masterpiece that defined the "saloon singer" archetype and revolutionized how popular music albums were structured.
