Gazelle Twin’s debut studio album, The Entire City, released on 11 July 2011 via Anti-Ghost Moon Ray Records, is a dark, theatrical masterclass in avant-garde electronic music. Orchestrated by Brighton-based composer and producer Elizabeth Walling (now Bernholz), the album borrows its title from a Max Ernst painting to build a dystopian sonic metropolis. Merging art-pop, darkwave, and ambient choral arrangements, The Entire City stands as a compelling, claustrophobic debut that explores the fine line between urban comfort and looming threat.
