Reanimatsiya (2005) by Grazhdanskaya Oborona stands as a highly competent, cleaner evolution of Yegor Letov’s iconic Siberian punk project, balancing their signature raw existential dread with surprisingly melodic, studio-polished garage rock. While it doesn’t quite match the lightning-in-a-bottle chaos of their legendary late-1980s underground tapes, it is a remarkably strong, cohesive late-career effort.
