Thank Christ for the Bomb is the third studio album by the British blues and hard rock band The Groundhogs, released in May 1970. It is a critically acclaimed concept album, noted for its shift from traditional blues to a heavier, more progressive sound and politically charged themes. The album is split into two conceptual halves. Side one (tracks 1-4) explores the "alienness" of a community, small room, and country, culminating in the thermonuclear threat of the Cold War. Side two (tracks 5-9) traces a story of a man's riches-to-rags alienation in everyday London.
