Released in 1967 on Minit Records, Featuring the Human Host and the Heavy Metal Kids by Hapshash & The Coloured Coat is an unstructured, free-form psychedelic experiment. Created by graphic artists Michael English and Nigel Waymouth with producer Guy Stevens, the album features backing from the band Art (who later became Spooky Tooth) and a room full of improvising guests.

The album features famed London based design duo Michael English and Nigel Weymouth, otherwise known as Hashash & The Coloured Coat. They were responsible for designing many of the most famous psychedelic rock concert posters of the 1960's for venues such as the UFO Club and the Fillmore, plus the artists Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Soft Machine etc.
