Tracks and Traces is a collaborative album by the German "supergroup" Harmonia (Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Dieter Moebius, and Michael Rother) and British ambient pioneer Brian Eno. Originally recorded in September 1976 at the band's studio in Forst, Germany, the sessions remained unreleased for decades until a 1997 CD release, followed by a significant remastered reissue in 2009. The album is widely regarded as a "milestone in the history of Ambient/Electronic music". Critics often highlight its role as a bridge between the motorik rhythms of Krautrock and the blossoming of ambient music.
