Refuge (1973) by Heaven & Earth is a critically acclaimed, yet long-hidden gem of psych-folk, soft rock, and smooth funk. Crafted by the talented female duo of Pat Gefell and Jo D. Andrews, this lone studio album was originally released on Dick Schory's short-lived Chicago label, Ovation Records. While it achieved very little commercial success upon its release, it has since attained a legendary cult status among record collectors, psych-folk enthusiasts, and modern DJs.
