Released on 30 August 2019 via Ghostly International, Venus in Leo is the critically acclaimed fourth studio album by the Australian underground electronic and post-punk duo HTRK (Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang). Recorded more or less live in their home studio in the Dandenong Ranges outside of Melbourne, the record marks a lighter, more reflective, and intimate evolution from the oppressive, industrial darkness of their earlier catalog. Critics largely celebrated the album as a gorgeous balance of spectral ambient pop, minimalistic electronics, and deeply personal introspection.
