Interpol | El pintor | Album

Released on September 8, 2014, El Pintor is the fifth studio album by the New York indie rock band Interpol. Its title is a Spanish translation for "the painter" as well as a direct anagram of the band's name. Serving as a major turning point, it was their first record recorded as a trio following the departure of enigmatic bassist Carlos Dengler. Instead of hiring a permanent replacement, frontman Paul Banks stepped up to handle the bass duties.
