Released on January 31, 1972, Jackson Browne’s self-titled debut album (frequently referred to as Saturate Before Using) stands as one of the most mature, articulate, and timeless debut records in rock history. Recorded when he was just 23 years old for David Geffen's fledgling Asylum Records, the album seamlessly established Browne as a master romanticist and a foundational architect of the 1970s Southern California singer-songwriter movement.
Original copies of Jackson Browne's 1972 self-titled debut album came in a simulated burlap water-bag cover with the notation "saturate before using." First issues opened from the top and later issues opened from the side.
