The UK version of Are You Experienced, released in May 1967, is a seismic document of rock history that arguably presents a rawer, more blues-centric portrait of the Jimi Hendrix Experience than its polished US counterpart. While the American release leaned into radio-ready hits, the original UK tracklist on Track Records showcased Hendrix as both a sonic architect and a disciple of the blues. Unlike the US version, which famously added the "Big Three" singles—"Purple Haze", "Hey Joe", and "The Wind Cries Mary"—the UK original omitted them entirely. In their place are three tracks that ground the album in R&B and blues traditions:"Red House", "Can You See Me", and "Remember".
