O Amor, o Sorriso e a Flor (translated as The Love, the Smile and the Flower) is the landmark second studio album by Brazilian bossa nova pioneer João Gilberto. Released in May 1960 by the Odeon label, it solidified the syncopated guitar style (violão gago) and intimate, whispered vocals that defined the bossa nova genre.
