John Lennon "Walls and Bridges"

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Apple Records, Europe, 2015, 0600753571002, 180g Vinyl, Remastered, Multi Fold-Out Sleeve, Incl. Artwork Inserts

Released on September 26, 1974, John Lennon’s fifth solo studio album, Walls and Bridges, captures the artist at a unique emotional and creative crossroads. Written and recorded during his famous "Lost Weekend"—an 18-month separation from Yoko Ono spent largely in Los Angeles and New York with assistant May Pang—the album is a deeply revealing, musically sophisticated, and occasionally uneven pop-rock artifact. While it lacks the raw, stripped-back intensity of Plastic Ono Band, it compensates with rich 1970s instrumentation, lush brass arrangements, and a surprising spirit of clear-headed resilience.

The album jacket has an elaborate multi-overlaid flapped front cover which displays Lennon's own artworks. Many of the images were drawn by Lennon wwhen he was a child.
