Kaaris | Or noir | Album

Released in 2013, Kaaris's debut album Or noir is widely regarded as a mythical and genre-defining project that forever changed the landscape of French trap music. Reviewers highlight that Or noir successfully imported the aggressive Atlanta trap sound-influenced by artists like Gucci Mane-and adapted it with a raw, distinctively French intensity. The album is praised for Kaaris's deep-pitched, direct voice, visceral energy, and "banger after banger" production by Therapy. It is often described as a "masterpiece" of the genre, featuring iconic hits like "Zoo", "Binks", and "Paradis ou Enfer".
