Wide Open is the debut and only studio album by the Australian progressive hard rock band Kahvas Jute, originally released in January 1971. It is considered a milestone of Australian progressive rock for its blend of rock, blues, and jazz with a psychedelic edge. The album is noted for the superb dual guitar work of Dennis Wilson and Tim Gaze, and the "restlessly exploratory bass lines" of Bob Daisley, who later gained international fame with artists like Ozzy Osbourne and Rainbow. The album continues to be held as one of Australia's prime rock collectables and a "tour de force" of style and technique. Reviewers often compare its heavy, bluesy psych sound to a heavier version of Cream.
