Keiichi Suzuki | Zatoichi (Soundtrack) | Album
Regular price
Keiichi Suzuki’s soundtrack for Takeshi Kitano's 2003 film Zatoichi is a brilliant, genre-bending work that subverts traditional samurai movie music. Suzuki-celebrated for his experimental rock band Moonriders and his iconic work on Nintendo's Mother (EarthBound) video game series-replaces expected epic orchestral arrangements with a minimalist, avant-garde fusion of electronic beats, traditional Japanese instrumentation, and found-sound percussion.
