Born in Malaysia of Chinese ancestry, Lau studied classical flute and Chinese Opera before finding his way into the mid-1970s Sydney music scene. The album remains a highly coveted holy grail among record collectors, famously reissued by labels like Strawberry Rain and Left Ear Records.
